How: Amsterdam free from natural gas by 2040, requires that everyone living in the city of Amsterdam, especially those areas designated for TVW (Transitievisie warmte) Amsterdam buurt, has to think of alternative ways of energy to heat their home, cook their food and warm their water for showering by 2040, because then the city will no longer have natural gas based energy for those daily needs. Therefore, citizens of Amsterdam have to think of alternative means of energy, have to be aware of the available options, plan financially for it, engage in the search for better alternatives, whether you are a house owner or renting from the housing corporation.

We at EGK Centre inform the African community in Zuidoost on the agenda, how it will impact their life and that of the society. To enable them make the right decision and in a better position to engage in the debate and search for a better alternative. In addition to the strength of information, the knowledge centre will contribute to putting policy plans on the map in various groups that are normally not reachable and/or accessible. The centre ensures that stakeholders are aware of everything that is going on so that they can exert influence. Such as Masterplan Zuidoost, through radio talk shows, presentations, workshops and information day sessions.
